This Code of Conduct is intended to ensure that the Boise Curling Club’s activities remain welcoming and inclusive for all. It is here to help guide our members on how to be more self-aware of how their words and actions impact others, so any potential conflicts can be resolved quickly and amicably. Where the Spirit of Curling guides an athlete’s on-ice conduct regarding gameplay, this Code of Conduct is intended to complement that, with regards to our members’ behavior and communication towards others (both on and off the ice). It is in that spirit we ask this Code of Conduct be followed and applied.
Curlers' Code of Ethics (from Curling Canada):
- I will play the game with a spirit of good sportsmanship.
- I will conduct myself in an honorable manner both on and off the ice.
- I will never knowingly break a rule, but if I do, I will divulge the breach.
- I will take no action that could be interpreted as an attempt to intimidate or demean my opponents, teammates or umpires.
- I will interpret the rules in an impartial manner, always keeping in mind that the purpose of the rules is to ensure that the game is played in an orderly and fair manner.
- I will humbly accept any penalty that the governing body at any level of curling deems appropriate, if I am found in violation of the Code of Ethics or rules of the game.

- Non-Discrimination Statement (Section 3.0 of the BCC Bylaws)
- Not use abusive language or inappropriate expressions of anger (e.g., throwing a broom)

The Code of Conduct was approved by the Boise Curling Club board on October 17, 2023, and is effective January 1, 2024. The format is borrowed from the Denver Curling Club's code of conduct.
